Use a fork to carefully poke each potato 3-4 times.
Get a paper towel and wet it to cover the potatoes.
Microwave all 4 potatoes simultaneously for 5-6 minutes or 2 at a time for 2.5 minutes (you should be able to easily insert a fork into the potato once done).
Cut each potato in half and lay them on a baking sheet. Smash each potato flat with a fork.
Sprinkle ranch seasoning on top of each potato, add a thin slice of butter, then sprinkle more ranch seasoning– approximately 1 - 2 tsp seasoning per potato half.
Bake at 375 F for around 10 minutes, then switch to the broiler setting for 3 minutes at the end to get them crispy. Air Fryer Method: Air fry at 400°F for 8 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
Notes
