Ingredients

  • ¼ cup hummus
  • 1 cup carrots & celery

Directions

  • Wash and peel the carrots, then slice them into sticks.
  • Wash the celery and cut it into sticks.
  • Place the hummus in a small bowl or container for dipping.
  • Serve the hummus with carrot and celery sticks on the side.

Notes

More protein: Add a hard-boiled egg or pair with whole-grain crackers for a more filling snack. There is only around 3 g of protein in ¼ cup of hummus, which is typically not enough to keep you full for very long. Nut-free: Many hummus recipes include pine nuts, but some do not, and you can make a variety of hummus without any nuts very quickly.
