It is on our “herbs to avoid” based on information from the International Journal of Childbirth Education, Herbs and Natural Therapies for Pregnancy, Birth, and Breastfeeding, Volume 24 Number 2. This is likely due to insufficient evidence it is safe or adverse effects found with use in animal models during pregnancy.
