Hi,

Just a little fyi, I’m an esthetician. I highly recommend avoiding all essential oils ingested or on your skin, but I’m pretty sure diffusing them is ok! As far as skin care products, you really want to avoid retinol (retina, retinol palmitate/any vitamin a derivative), benzoyl peroxide, and salicylic acid. Make sure you aren’t frequently using any thing that’s an acid (except for hyaluronic acid!) on a daily basis.

Keep you skin care hydrating (hyaluronic acid) and sensitive. Also, seek an esthetician in your area for guidance. Your skin will be giving you a run around through pregnancy with hormones. Embrace any melasma (dark discoloration) and make sure you have a great daily spf that’s from zinc. Throw out anything else!
