According to March of Dimes, between 400 and 4,000 babies are born with toxoplasmosis per year in the US (close to 4 million babies are born in the US per year). Only 30% of women pass the infection along to their baby in utero, if they do get it. So, it’s very, very rare, less than 0.5%.
