Hey, Jaymie!
If you go to herbs > a brief overview you’ll see “ginseng” is under the herbs we don’t have conclusions on section.
Starting with the green powder, I typically don’t recommend these types during pregnancy. You will get many more benefits by actually eating greens, fruits, and vegetables. We know this is very beneficial in pregnancy and does not cause any adverse effects. Some of the greens like alfalfa, wheat grass, barley grass, etc. are not proven safe for pregnancy.
The protein powder contains alfalfa and ginseng, two herbs that are not proven safe for pregnancy, plus it has added sugar (not a lot, but for most, they don’t want their sugar intake coming from a source of protein). Last, you’d need to be careful about the vitamin/mineral concentration in congruence with your prenatal vitamin. You can overdo supplements! There are better options on the market!
Are there fizz sticks without ginseng? To date, there’s not evidence to suggest ginseng provides benefits during pregnancy, only question marks of it’s safety, so in my opinion not worth including it in your diet.
I hope this helps!
