Hey! We don’t have much data on sugar alcohols during pregnancy, but it is likely safe in small amounts. Sugar alcohols in some people cause GI symptoms like bloating or diarrhea but in higher amounts!

Hey! Definitely very normal. If you can do cooked veggies, that’s great! A “copy cat” chipotle bowl is a good idea, beef or chicken, beans or lentils, bell peppers, onions, cauli-rice or brown rice, shredded cheese, or any other veggies that sound appealing. Another bowl that’s really yummy is with eggs, black beans, cooked spinach, cheddar cheese, and pesto sauce (or really any sauce that sounds yummy to you!).

Hey! % daily value isn’t all that great of a tool, it’s based on how close the nutrient amounts are to the RDA which in most nutrients is based on data from men. I know Full Circle specifically basis their nutrient amounts on actual research in pregnant women!

The best practice is to use it for everything, but at the least, drinking water. ( : Some even advise filtering the water you use in your bathroom.

Hey! If you bought it from an average grocery store, it is definitely pasteurized. I wouldn’t worry! 😌

Hey! I don’t think keeping them there for a week is an issue. If there is a spot out of sunlight, I’d just place them there instead ( :

Hey! Yes, definitely an individualized question. It may be beneficial to have the extra vitamin D but I don’t know. ( ; Otherwise, no benefit on one over the other!

Hey! Good question – bone broth is actually preferred over collagen peptides, but collagen peptides are super easy to mix in things, even just a daily scoop. There’s really no limit on how much you consume either. Daily to a few times per week is a good goal I think!

Hey! I would go to the prenatal vitamin note and check your supplement next to the guidelines listed there. https://new.theprenatalnutritionlibrary.com/prenatal-vitamins/ – you can also go into some of the micronutrients individually like B12, magnesium, choline to see the suggested daily requirements.

Hey! I think the main issue would be the vegetable oils used in the cooking, the herbs used aren’t a concern. If you go to the fats note, you’ll see a section on the omega-6: omega-3 ratio when we eat a lot of vegetable oils (the type restaurants use bc it is cheap), it makes our ratio very off balanced which leads to inflammation which is a marker for many health complications. So, to summarize, yes, it is fine in moderation but if we overdo it, it can lead to a high omega-6: omega-3 ratio!

Also, I would never say that cauliflower pizza or cauliflower anything can replace the “real thing” like pizza, but if you do find yourself craving something like pizza more often, I think opting for cauliflower crust is a good way to go!

Hey Stacie! Great suggestion! We can add this to the topic list. And, you are right, all things can fit in moderation. A good ice cream alternative is a yogurt parfait or a homemade fruit sorbet (I think someone actually posted a recipe here before). Dark chocolate although most come with sugar is still very healthy and can satisfy a sweet tooth for some. We also want to keep in mind the “satisfaction factor”, I.e. if you eat the “healthy alternative” will that satisfy you or are you still going to want the ice cream after you eat the yogurt, for example.
